FAQs

On your first session at the studio you will be given a copy of the full terms and conditions and our privacy policy. Here are some of the very basics. (Full copies can also be located in the footer of this website.)

CANCELLATION POLICY:

We maintain a 12 hour cancellation policy to ensure the quality of our service. If you give less than 12 hours or do not show up to your scheduled class, you will forfeit the entirety of your class payment.

PUNCTUALITY:

Please arrive five minutes prior to class to settle in. If you’re a first time client, please allow 10 minutes to sign in. Lateness can be disruptive to any ongoing sessions and can be a safety issue. Please be on time. We want you to get the most out of your class or session.

PILATES SOCKS:

Pilates socks are required for all Reformer sessions for the benefit of all clients using the equipment. Socks can be purchased at the studio.

 

Q What is Pilates - I’ve never done it before?
A Pilates is an innovative system of mind-body exercise using a floor mat and/or a variety of equipment created by Joseph Pilates. Pilates is one of the most effective work outs in the way it targets your muscles and joints. and can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Not only will Pilates help assist with body toning, enhancing physical strength and improving posture it also has many mental health benefits such as improved concentration, stress management and relaxation and improve your overall well being and happiness!

Q What should I wear?
A Please wear socks at all times. we recommend grip socks when working on the reform - socks are available to purchase at the studio. Wear comfortable activewear that you can move freely in. There is bottled water available to purchase otherwise please also bring your own water bottle should you require hydration. New clients need to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to complete client forms.

Q I have an injury can I still do Pilates?
A Yes!! We encourage you to talk to you doctor before you come to class and we may reserve the right to ask for a doctors certificate. We must be made aware of any injuries prior to the class Pilates is ideal to assist in recovering from a variety of injuries. Please contact us today to discuss your needs further.

Q How often should I do Pilates to see results?
A We recommend a minimum of 2 sessions per week to see results. “In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference. In 20 sessions you will see the difference. And in 30 sessions you will have a new body!” ~ Joseph Pilates

Q Can I do Pilates when I’m pregnant?
A Absolutely! Pilates is perfect for pre and postnatal! All pre and postnatal clients must start with a private studio session first before attending any group glasses. We reserve the right to ask for a certificate from your doctor before starting your classes both before and after birth (we want to make sure that everything is 100% safe for you and bub).
